HEREKEKE
Inquiring into Sustainability through Creative Practices
Localogy
Localogy is a non-profit organization whose mission is to cultivate positive cultural transformation by connecting people to themselves, each other, the rest of the natural world, and our collective potential.  Many programs are youth oriented and include projects with HEREKEKE, Roots & Wings Community School, managing the Sangre de Cristo Youth Ranch, and publicly funded Lama Community Farm, Churro sheep, milking goats, and yaks.

Sangre de Cristo Youth Ranch
The SCYR is a free camp for youth aged 10-12 and 13-17 that offers experiences on a small scale farm and ranch.  It brings together youth of all cultural and economic backgrounds, locally and nationally. It officially became the Sangre de Cristo Youth Ranch in 1985 and is now managed by the nonprofit Localogy in collaboration with the Wilson Family Foundation.  HEREKEKE helps facilitate Artist lead art and media activities and welcomes Artists who are interested.

Wilson Family Foundation
Dr. ‘Bud’ & Barbara Wilson began this private charity as a way to support the Sangre de Cristo Youth Ranch, a free camp that they began in 1947.  Though their generosity, large portions of Lama have been placed in Nature Conservancy, Farmland Trust, and Taos Land Trust.  The Wilson Family dedicated their Middle Ranch to public programming and is home to the SCYR, Localogy, and HEREKEKE.  It also provides outdoor experiences for students at Roots & Wings Community School.

Roots & Wings Community School
RWCS is a small public charter school serving students from 5th - 8th grades.  It is apart of the Expeditionary Learning model which incorporates thematic-based learning with active experiences inside and outside the classroom.  HEREKEKE Visiting & Resident Artists often elect to work with small groups of students when they are here.

LEAP
HEREKEKE is an official sponsor of LEAP (Land, Experience and Art of Place) an experimental, interdisciplinary, artist-driven initiative and networking hub, connecting artists with practitioners in other fields through classes, expeditions and events. Created as a platform for innovative ecological artists, NeoRio is also an opportunity for cross-pollination between artists, conservationists, and others interested in protecting and celebrating the many aspects of our communities and wild lands.

La Lama Neighborhood Association
HEREKEKE is working with the LLNA to re-establish a local newspaper.  The Lama Wheel will be a source for local news and happenings, along with an online presence which will investigate and chronicle the cultural history of Lama.

The Lama Foundation
The Lama Foundation was founded in 1967 as an intentional spiritual community as well as an educational center dedicated to all spiritual paths.      It hosts public events, dinners, and summer workshops, along with a permaculture design system for their garden and campus of ecologically sustainable buildings.
